Seasonal Volunteer Opportunities

Looking to fulfill your community service hours? We have several exciting opportunities during the Christmas season!

Set Up Saturday – Thank you! We have enough people!
Join us for Set Up Saturday and help get Christmas in the Park ready for the public! We’ll be setting up trees, placing signs, dusting off and cleaning the displays, clean and pick up trash to transform the park into a holiday wonderland. It all happens Saturday, November 23 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Plaza de Cesar Chavez Park. Only 150 volunteers can join us for this important day.

Santa Helper
If you love spreading holiday cheer, consider becoming a Santa Helper! Assist our jolly Santa in his house by greeting guests, capturing memories with photos, and helping make each visit magical. This role is perfect for those who enjoy interacting with others and being part of a festive atmosphere. Located at our downtown site in Plaza de Cesar Chavez Park. Sign up here.

Ride Helper
We have new rides at Christmas in the Park, and we need fun people to help with tickets and keeping guests safe. We need 6 people each night. Groups can sign up for this and Santa Helper shifts. Sign up here.

Drive Thru Experience Helper
For those who prefer working independently or aren’t big fans of crowds, we have a special role at our Drive Thru Light Experience at History Park. Help guide vehicles safely through the dazzling light show or assist by scanning tickets. It’s a key part of making sure our guests have a smooth, enjoyable experience, and it’s equally rewarding. Enchanted Forest Clean-Up Crew
At the end of the season, we need all hands on deck to help take down our enchanting forest of 600 decorated trees. This task is crucial, as we have a tight window to wrap up the event. While it’s a big job, it’s incredibly fulfilling to know you’ve helped keep the park tidy and ready for next year! Sign up here.

Whatever the task, you’ll be playing an important part in the magic of Christmas in the Park!

Be a Santa

Do you or someone you know have what it takes to be the jolly man in red? We’re looking for volunteers to fill Santa’s boots this season at Christmas in the Park.

Here’s what we need from our Santas:

• Commitment: A minimum of three 3-hour shifts throughout the season.
• Santa Look: A “natural” Santa appearance (white beard preferred!) or willingness to wear a realistic beard.
• Mobility: Be able to walk from the hotel to Santa’s house at Plaza de Cesar Chavez Park.
• Santa’s Helper: Having your own helper for your shift is a plus, but not required.
• Attitude: A cheerful, positive attitude and a genuine love for kids, Christmas, and spreading holiday joy.
• Bonus Skills: Multilingual Santas or those who can use sign language will earn extra cookies and milk!
